In places like El Salvador where bitcoin transactions are more common, I wonder how challenging adoption is when people check out for their groceries and the total is something like 978,560 sats.
Seems like we’d benefit from a naming convention for thousands and tens/hundreds of thousands sats to make the total something more familiar like 9.78 - India did this with ‘lakhs’.
I know they did this to address a devaluing currency but the convention is my attempt at comparison.

Interestingly the account that gets me to log into nostr a few times a day is #[0] Whoever this is, is posting excerpts from Tom Thomson’s diaries.
Tom Thomson was one of the Group of Seven landscape painters in Canada from the early 1900’s.
Is anybody is looking for engagement on non-bitcoin and non-meat topics, feel free to @mention me in your post!

#[0] you are a great writer. The stop the presses campaign is brilliant.
I just returned from a trip to Israel. Toured the crusader realm from Akko (Acre) through the Jordan Valley.
Truly remarkable what the Crusaders built - churches and forts with 10 foot thick walls and huge vaulted ceilings that are still standing today. This one below is from 1180.
This church is from 1100’s as well
