At the local shop today, the guy in front of me asked the cashier if he could take out around 300$ in cash.
Didn’t think much of it at first, then i looked around at the people in the line, and i could sense their faces showed some sort of suspicion.
Then i reflected upon this later on the way home. Yes, fuck fiat, but in that moment, that wad of cash represented something.
It represented freedom in a way. No one knew what that cash was going to be spent on, and i could tell people jumped to conclusions.
We have arrived at a point in society, atleast where i live where having cash is outside the norm.
And people are used to their funds being tracked everywhere, anytime. Now using something thats off the book on something privately is all of the sudden weird.
Fuck that shit.
