I find zap-fishing repugnant. It is not lost on me that previous posts of mine could be seen to be the same.

I keep seeing recurring themes around the increase in copper due to the electrification of…everything. Copper use will increase but it won’t be in building out grids. Aluminium is the main conductor metal of choice due to its weight and cost. Copper conductors in distribution and transmission networks are increasingly rare. You still find some Copper underground cables but these are mainly for short runs as the first cable out of a substation known as feeder-exit-cables. Copper is still used in electronics, wiring, circuit boards and motor windings. It has little to no use in batteries. What I am trying to say is, electrification in particular with reference to grids, does not necessarily mean an increase in copper usage.

@sebbunney and I are just about to launch our first book together. Authors? A mountain bike instructor and an electrician! Who would of thunk it? Thinking about buying cardigans and monicles to celebrate such an occasional. The wonders of modern technology allow ordinary folk with modest budgets to do great things otherwise out of their reach. Podcasts, ebooks, YouTube channels... It is really quite amazing how far we have come in such a short time. To think Bitcoin isn't going to change the way we see money, make payments and transfer value is utterly moronic. We will pass on our nostr private keys alongside our Bitcoin private keys to our kids. They will inherent the earth and have a journal for them to follow us as we lived through this transition. If you work for wages you better figure this Bitcoin thing out. Why would you spend your time and energy away from your family to merely survive? You need to strive to thrive and Bitcoin is your tool to bring this about.

Bitcoin will empower people to make their own informed financial decisions again. It's as simple as how savings worked when money wasn't printed out of thin air. You hustle, you cut overheads, you stack bitcoin, you hold it, you wait. Simple.... You no longer need a degree finance to get ahead.

If you are over levered with real estate, particularly if that leverage is on a variable rate…. It might be time to consider unwinding some of that…
