I remember a guy that was excited to zap across the planet. Now this same guy is going to hoard bitcoin as the CEO of a company with investors which don’t like to focus on zapping freedom money freely for everyone. And would love to do something with fractional reserves. This has always been the main thing, when you are using a full kyced node for bitcoin or lightning you are using permissioned money. The taxman loves this because it can easily be taxed when you use kyced platforms. When the majority of people is using these type of platforms, the insight of these critical nodes is rather complete. Therefore bitcoin use / hodling can then easily be taxed. If we don’t outbuild and outuse bitcoin as it is supposed to be, we’ll soon be joining a gold 2.0 movement with full regulatory capture. For the people who have not read the voorjaarsnota. The wealth tax is increased to 3%. If you’re saving you’ll lose 60% of your wealth in 30 years. This 2nd increase in a row was legitimized because the new unrealized capital gains tax (called “ law realized capital gains tax”) was postponed to 2028. GM, yesterday evening my aunt, my moms sister 73 years old called me. She wanted more bitcoin. I once paid the meat she got for us in bitcoin a couple of years ago. She tracked the price in her muunwallet for the past years. But she was always skeptical and critical of my “extreme believe” as she named it. Her reaching out to buy bitcoin for her grandchildren feels like a major achievement for me. This year I’ve seen more and more “old” people become very skeptical about the euro and the future of their euro in the banks in general. If bitcoin also becomes boomer tech we are up for a major inflow. The current mainstream news, constant war pondering and European war bonds apparently help shift their minds towards this alternative. When looking at books sales we still see a constant daily sales of the Dutch translation of the bitcoin standard. Very clearly people are investigating at much larger scale than 2 years ago. I don’t know about you, but once you dive in, you don’t run back.

As a trance lover having built a huge radio receiver to be able to receive XFM radio from Eindhoven with high quality as a kid, going to a big trance festival when being very much underage but making sure i got some 18 year + friends to go along and arrange free tickets winning the radio quiz. This track has a couple of mix parts that remind me of the xfm music festival in the klok gebouw Eindhoven. Rank 1, Marco v and so many others were there. For a kid it was amazing. I had a Bose installation 4.1 with direct connection to my ISDN double line modem downloading from Napster and later Limewire and Kazaa. Turning 18 I build my own sound system in my Volkswagen Golf. It was an 11.1 system with 500watt RMS self build subwoofer and self designed casing. JBL 1100 and Sony / JBL speaker combination for optimal sound. Extra battery with capacitor for peaks. It was so much fun being a kid and working my ass off to be able to enjoy the sound. When I upgraded a speaker or tuned it I would put my dad in the car and put on enya, being proud to have tuned it on an even better level.

EU wants to invest. Let’s invest in open source software. It benefits and defends the people to totalitarian overreach. Also it shows to give the biggest advantage to society and productive outcome of people in general. The only way to compete with large centralized proprietary systems is to fund open source alternatives. EU should lead and open up the arms race. Not only on digital finance being bitcoin but also on artificial intelligence. This Harvard review last year clearly shows there is no better return of investment than open source. And as all we are talking about are public investments, with public money, the code should be owned by the public.
