In the upcoming months we will see major step changes in Europe. The war bonds are now here, but it’s not just the war bonds. The announcements I’ve been hearing in meetings with top officials are bothering me a lot. EU uniformity is forced down everyone’s throats, nobody is going to be able to stop it anymore I believe. This will have major impact on - freedom of speech - freedom to transact - freedom to move Within the next few years a wall will be built so fast most people didn’t understand it was not for keeping the bad guys out, but to keep you inside. Some comments over the past months from top officials: “It would be much easier to have a shock that triggers the ECB to become powerful like the FED” “Our meetings in Brussels have concluded that you’ll see a lot of change coming to your industries shortly” “It should become a standard for money transmitters to ask questions about money flows, if you have nothing to hide you can answer every question about a transfer. The facilitator of a transaction should want to know about it and it should be normalized that questions about transactions are asked to every individual” The strange thing about this all is. Bitcoin will become an ever larger life saver on so many fronts when I see what is approaching us. Overregulation, overtaxation and even worse. Taking freedom away in every possible way will only strengthen the use of bitcoin for people longing for freedom and sovereignty. The adoption with increased inflation and ever more restrictive transfer of the euro will make the orange light shine brighter by the day. You can kill the man, but you can’t kill the idea. GN image

When the oculus came out we bought two Alienware heaviest laptops we could find and build the entire port of Rotterdam up from our emulations. We brought it to the largest port conference on the planet and were the first to literally have CEO’s of the largest shipping companies fall of their chair. For many it was the first time experiencing virtual reality. The interview below with Palmer around 1:08 where he shows about what was being possible reminds me of the moment in the evening I was watching a hardwell video on YouTube where I could look around. It was the first time YouTube made it available and we directly dropped our specific build for oculus on YouTube. Looking back I loved our team in Delft simulating, emulating and building all the software for the container ports. It was not just running the robots, but the human aspect was immense too… Bitcoin is more important though 😂 fix the money, fix the world. image

The best locations on our planet will be the locations where there is a significant understanding of bitcoin. These locations will be a high proof of work, high educational and atomic family focused communities. Most bitcoiners are searching for truth and take time for proper food, proper building, long term thinking in general. Because currently settlement is still costly and uncertain, I feel most bitcoiners are not going all in on a location. I believe we do need to concentrate on specific locations to make bitcoin in combination with our families prosper. I’m curious what you think these locations are going to be. If you think roaming / nomadic lifestyle will be the future we still need the locations to nomad through. Proper low time preference livings that can be lived in for longer periods will then be critical. A Hapimag style of ownership and “rent” would then become interesting. Hapimag is a Swiss shareholder owned resort “company”. The setup should be improved a bit and building at prime locations across the globe for more permanent living would be welcomed by a lot of bitcoiners. It would be our citadel mesh network owned and operated by bitcoiners. Where also your shares hold value due to ownership of worldwide real estate. The way you can use the points you build up or buy has been really great over the past decades. I believe a framework like Hapimag but very much improved for long term stay is something a lot of bitcoiners would be interested in.

Is there some kind of auction thing on Nostr? For bitcoinbloem would like to do a bidding for one time 100 bitcoin grown tulips and bring them to the winner of the auction. We did do donations to an elderly home three years ago. And did an order possibility where we drove bitcoin tulips through the Netherlands 2 years ago. Last year we were too busy with other things. This year I’m planning maintenance and would like to drive out one big tulip bushel of 100 tulips on auction. Or should I just open it for €210,- on the webshop and be sure I get paid. Last auctions we did, people didn’t pay eventually when they won… sigh… Curious about your thoughts on this, asking Nostr.

People are starting to understand the necessity of bitcoin. Prices are rising rapidly, they understand their euro is failing. They want to have a cash alternative. Number of bitcoiners going up.

Waiting for my university to pop up in the scandals with funding from the US. We all knew which puppets were given masters degrees and phds to become key players in their home countries. They were funded by the Bill and Melinda gates foundation, UN funding programs and some other USAID related funds/projects. The entire branch of water governance, water law and some other departments were built specifically to control resources of countries across the globe. Because I was one of the few self funded students and in the coastal and port engineering department I had a different view on this uni. We were actually preparing to build and improve stuff across the globe… We were with multiple self funded students from engineering backgrounds across the globe. The university that once was there to improve the planet on water related engineering topics became a political control centre. For my graduation thesis I was asked for multiple projects. The study i was most interested in, sea level rise in São Tomé had a prescribed outcome. So I couldn’t get myself to work towards an outcome I was not in line with. So I decided to graduate in China. On the largest lock system mankind has ever built. A capacity analysis it was. Loved it. But learning through working with and for governments or large bureaucratic organizations makes you see corruption everywhere. The only solution is splitting money from state.

Took the dirty fiat at the bank accounts, this is normally the emergency fiat funds. Couldn’t help myself to be so happy with this dip this morning. Moral of the story, wake up early and do some proof of work. I’ve talked with a lot of bitcoiners and many of them borrow against their bitcoin with a liquidation sitting at ~$20k and ~5% interest. I’ve always been afraid to lock funds up. How come more and more are not afraid anymore to borrow against their bitcoin? GN image

So our couple weeks old baby had to go to hospital because he stopped breathing for a while. After checks all seemed to be ok, most likely there was some blocking through reflux. After spending a night and day in the hospital all is fine. Had to cancel a lot of important meetings and now catching up from 4AM in the morning. When you are sitting quietly in a hospital there is some time to reflect on bitcoin too. So I posted the following on X. And I believe most people on this platform are already aware, but I’ll put it here anyway. “It’s the first time ever to ask Grok to help out with a post. Apparently engagement would 10x when using a hashtag crypto in the post. The interesting thing about the adversity to proof of work itself by the majority of the crypto community is starting to fade. The #bitaxe 🧵 movement has opened the eyes of thousands of crypto lovers into the arms of bitcoin. Being a part of the revolution physically and joining the largest lottery on planet earth in the largest physical computer network ever built by humanity is interesting in and of itself. We should however make it more clear how important it is that we actually decentralize hash and gain more sovereignty over the block templates. The risk of capture as what is currently again being seen with F2Pool is a major risk for bitcoin fungibility. The open source mining ⛏️ initiative is capable of getting a major part of the network back in the hands of the freedom lovers. I believe that’s a step that we will have to take. We are already rapidly moving through the phases in @evoskuil “cryptoeconomics” and apparently most bitcoiners are still not aware of the importance of this simple overview. If you truly believe bitcoin is freedom money, the majority of hash will have to be held by freedom lovers.” image

It’s 5 degrees Celsius outside and I’m heating our living room with bitcoin. It’s hashing to our @BitcoinBrabant DATUM @OCEAN pool. We’re reducing natural gas consumption radically. We’ve just ordered a new 30KWh battery pack to start smart steering with our 44 solar panels positioned on East (12 x 480) West (12 x 480) and south (20 x 320). We will monitor the upcoming year with fluctuations and looking forward reducing grid reliance as much as possible. We’ll even have an emergency switch for when the power on the grid is gone. All our systems are backed with multiple internet connections. Both 5G and Glassfiber (1.2GBit/s). We have starlink as a backup. We recently had to change our glassfiber ISP as we got serious issues with our TOR connections. We now paid off the 2 year contract and switched to Freedom internet as ISP. Best choice ever, we haven’t had any problems since. We’re on our way to sovereignty. image
