Every morning at 8 AM I go to work. It’s consistent 7 days a week. So the children know. Lately the oldest, that is 3 years old is starting to ask: “Are you going to help people?” My answer is: “Yes son, father is going to help people be safe” Son: “That’s nice” He pats on my shoulder “Will you be back soon?” Me: “Yes, son, just like every day you’ll see me at dinner” Son: “Ok dad, hug and good luck!” It’s sad to not be able to be with my children that much, but at the moment we have to help hundreds of people to safety from fiat tyranny a month. Doing this proof of work will help them in the future too. My time spent on building now will reward them in the future, that’s where it’s all about.

Becoming a bitcoin maxi… Last year I applied to become a consultant with @The Bitcoin Way. The vacancy received 250 applicants and I became one of the few that actually got a chance to join this family of bitcoiners. True proof of work needed to be fulfilled. Hundreds of clients were waiting for their consults and due to supplying the best education for self custody in the bitcoin space, they were overrun. With the expansion of the team we were able to optimize the workflows and clients communication. When the backlog finally was overcome it was time to expand our offerings on the basis of the needs of thousands of clients the bitcoin way built over the years. The technical team now consisting of 6 cybersecurity and bitcoin maximalists with a combined experience I’ve never encountered before worked heads down on the optimal business and enterprise solution for multiple signers with full redundancy without trusting any third party. This work has finalized and is now finding its first implementations. If you were at the btcprague conference, you might have noticed a few nice boxes with hardware standing at the bitcoin way booth. The number of people checking it out was thousands. Out of our team of 25 we were only present with 15 at the conference, we couldn’t handle the number of people interested in the details of what we supply. After the MainStage performance of Mr Saylor, Tony was next. And just like our stand performance, 80% of the people left the space apparently not understanding what bitcoin is about. Now I’m really wondering how many degens got liquidated borrowing against shitcoins 😂 Had an epic conversation yesterday evening before going to bed. Woke up around 4.15 first answered my emails and DMs of BitcoinBrabant and did some workouts. Than found out bitcoin was a a bit lower. Emptied all the bank accounts. Bought bitcoin. Don’t do leverage. Work your ass off. Don’t leave bitcoin on an exchange. (All major US exchanges went offline during the trough).

Every morning O asks “violin”. He’s still a bit too young (2YO) but he’s trying it anyway. His hero (André Rieu) is perfectly mimicked. But he’s starting to like Mozart more recently.

GM, just wanted to tell you that my butcher does not want to convert his bitcoin into worthless euro’s. I’ve tried many tactics, scaring him, pushing him into some nice spending… can’t get him out of his bitcoin. He’s become a hodler, I’m impressed.

I’m becoming an expert in fixing clothespins

Today I talked a while with an owner of an antique shop. There’s almost zero interest in decent antique furniture. Massive oak remains unsold, while it lasts hundreds of years. People are buying as cheap as possible. He is shifting more and more towards small “antique” bracelets, rings and other junk that they usually just receive for free when they clear houses. This couple of euros junk just sells. He also had a couple pairs of shoes of old brands, they last a lifetime, they are basically new but “old fashioned”. I asked him how old he thought my shoes were. Couple years he answered but still looking good, easily fixable, old fashioned way. Told him, 3 new soles, 1 new inner work. 21 years old. Wore them couple of times each month… He said the best pairs should last 40 years wearing them weekly. You can still find a few manufacturers in Europe… Low time preference shifting to high preference in the antique market was not something I was expecting to see. Fun part, the fridge he had reminded me of @BitPopArt 😂

Where should we live? Where should our kids grow up? What is the optimal location? Will bitcoiners become nomads again? In the next decade I would love to see bitcoiners create a cooperation that owns vasts amount of real estate at optimal locations across the globe. The ownership is in the form of shares freely tradeable. Every x blocks you receive points that you can use for booking your stay at different locations across the globe. A concept like this has been in existence for many decades and I’ve personally used it a lot. Bitcoiners should start a similar corporation so we can live anywhere across the world, owning the real estate with low time preference, while sharing the ownership for optimized maintenance, build, tax and many other purposes. This concept already exists since 1963 and I believe bitcoiners can improve upon it and build the best locations for bitcoiners through a similar setup. For more info about how this works check:
