Day 6 in Bangkok was pleasant. Wandering the huge Chatuchack Market. Learning about Thai Buddhist Amulets. Used book market. A hard massage - wow. $8/hour. Catching night train from Bangkok to Chiangmai. Huge monitor lizard in the canal!

Day 5 in Bangkok. Art & Culture at the BACC. The craziest mall in Bangkok MBK Center. Some rooftop cafes and bars. An early night. Taking the river taxis
Day 3 in Thailand. Temples, Chinatown, flowers, monks, and bluegrass. Sometimes you end up exactly where you need to be.
First day in Bangkok was good. Thai culture is complex and nuanced. From the use of patterns to the way the language is used. It’s not all parties and beaches but that is a part of it. Kao San Road area more foreigners than locals

Drank way too much with friends tonight but it was with friends so … bonus. Brewery here has all you can drink in two hours special on Saturday. They cheated at the end but we knew.
Grateful to have friends.
The crazy thing about the contents of the new house is clearly it was swept for random money, jewelry, valuables. I’ve done dozens of cleanouts and this one the cleanest.
This is the painting i am working on.
I’ve been working on the new house. Not enough time before I leave. Had to smash a waterlogged cedar set of drawers today. Drawers filled with ice. Baffles the mind. Rescues around 25 kimono out of it. Previous owners did an epic $$ sweep.
So far, I have deleted twenty-five apps from my phone. More to come. I am still using web versions of some of them but transitioning to not using. I am using distributed and federated social media and creating my own aggregators. Try it out
I don’t agree with everything I see here but I love the chaotic freedom of it all
Attaching this week's letter from exile. The melt off then the refreeze has created sheets of ice here, hard to get around on. Fun time on the mountain done. If you haven't looked at the treasure I dropped in The Library in The Village -do!
I don’t think it’s WWIII. Even if it is, the best thing you can do is make where you are ac better place.
A 1980s snapshot of the family who built and lived in my Japanese house. Recovered from a camera I found here. I developed the film today.
In other news, mySanta beard is gone. Feels like winter is done here. Looking forward to what’s next
I hope people take a moment to go into The Village and check out the groups there. I need to see if they function well. Plus they are cool. I implemented NOSTR ifrntity but only for myself so far. It’s cool but not sure if others want
Can someone zap me so I can confirm it works?

This second winter in Hokkaido is so different than the first. The sudden weather change from blizzard to melt to blizzard is psychologically jarring. Not as cold but less enjoyable. I am looking forward to Thailand and Spring. on Xcrol.com
