Carnivore question: I’ve been marinating tougher cuts of beef with apple cider vintage and a little salt overnight. What’s your take on marinating?
At the heart of the Eleusinian Mysteries was likely an ergot based psychedelic to help people experience an ego death, thus encountering the divine. See Muraresku’s “The Immortality Key”.

“There is so much we don’t know”
My therapist, who is in her 70s and is one of the most knowledgeable people I know.
Her comment is helping me let go of the urge to dive into every research rabbit hole, and getting more in touch with what is truly of value to me in this lifetime.
I want social media + video to take 90% less of my time than it has the last few years. Has anyone here tried the 30 Day Digital Declutter as described by Cal Newport in his book Digital Minimalism?
Pre-Fiat Water Tower,
Wrocław Poland
Built 1904-1905 beside Wiśniowa Avenue and Sudecka Street junction, the tower supplied water to the residents of the southern districts of Wrocław for many years.
This giant brick construction was modelled on medieval castles. The tower was placed on solid foundations, which housed flats for company employees operating the water supply system.
The tower is 63 meters high. It was equipped with an electric lift from the very beginning. From June 1906 the lift allowed people to reach an observation deck situated at a height of 42 meters (the ticket cost 10 pfennig), from which one could admire the vista of Wrocław, its surroundings and Mount Ślęża.

“Hesychia conveys the notion of quietness, stillness, and composure. It was frequently employed by ancient philosophers, including Aristotle, to denote a state of inner tranquility and freedom from disturbance. It was highly valued as an essential component of the philosophical ideal of eudaimonia.
The Greek word "ἡσυχία" (hesychia) derives from the adjective "ἡσύχιος" (hesychios), which means "quiet" or "still." The term is ultimately derived from the verb "ἡσυχάζω" (hesychazo), which signifies "to be still," "to be calm," or "to be at rest."
The root of "ἡσυχία" is "σύχνος" (suchnos), which means "noise" or "commotion." When the prefix "ἡ-" (he-) is added to "σύχνος," it negates the meaning and transforms it into its opposite, conveying the idea of being free from noise or disturbance.”
