I see some emails from respected Bitcoin companies telling people to “select 6 words randomly” as a human, and not asking AI.
Please, don’t listen to this BS, people are not random and are very much predictable. You as a human suck at randomness, use a proper cryptographic random source, you just lack entropy in your head or actions.
Some words traverse generations, because they stood the test of time. Never keep all your eggs in one basket. This goes for everything in life, because everyone is wrong at some point in time. It’s never too late to reduce risk and minimize blast radius if something goes wrong.
Rules of cryptography:
- You don’t diy it, unless you are a group of geniuses mathematicians with big LLM
- Key management is harder than cryptography
- You don’t diy it
