Sometimes looking at all this Core vs Knots drama, I have to wonder if bitcoin will even survive in its current form until the end of next year. Thinking out loud 🤔

Had a weird bug on one of the nostr native apps on iOS. Tried to open and close embedded link in the note a few times, and was logged out and the key was erased from existence. I have no idea how or why, and if it is even reproducible. If you haven’t backed up your keys, do so now. Do not just store them in the notepad, use keychain (iOS) or some other secure method. (Shameless plug: Nostr Build Shack can store and protect your secret key on iOS even if you don’t want to use it for anything)

Out of complete boredom, I took out my dusty Jade that I never used. Battery dead. Connected to USB-C, the thing booted. Unlocked, connected to the “companion device with Blockstream app”, got firmware update prompt. Clicked “yes, LFG”, and it started, with zero charge, on a usb cable. So, if I pull the cable did I brick my device? Why does it not check the battery status? Is it resilient to power outage during update? So many questions. P.S. Boredom is fun, you end up doing shit you wouldn’t otherwise do 😂
