Balancing the US budget is really interesting now that debt servicing makes up such a large part of spending, yet still no-one talks about the elephant in the room; that most spending goes into the unsustainable ponzi that is social security.

i always had this perception growing up that happiness/effort were zero sum against being social, working, studying, being fit; and that you had to trade them off.
it feels very liberating to shake that off and you suddenly become much tolerate of risk.
