Some friends and I have set up a choir (chorale21.org.uk). It’s going nicely and now I’ve added a QR code for Bitcoin donations. A committee member has raised a concern that “people ...might be interested in utilizing the bit coin aspect to take advantage of the choir”. It’s going to be a long slow journey…

I suggest that people forget that #BTC is a global phenomenon: for everyone from the unbanked to nation states. And remember this, the USA is only 25% of the global economy. Are Bitcoiners putting too much emphasis on the (failing?) US fiat, debt burdened economy?

Between £1.3 and £4 Billion linked to crypto. Ok, but compare that with the total figure of £37 Billion (Home Office figure). I therefore presume fiat accounts for 6 - 28 times more illicit activity.
