I’m starting to wonder if LLMs don’t just gobble up *all* the jobs but all the software as well. Everyone’s excited about vibe coding and their new found powers but I suspect it will be (relatively) short lived. In the long run (5-10 years) everything is automated and/or interfaces just become a “natural” interaction… i.e. you’ll just talk to your AI agent. Even longer term Elon will probably have everyone brain chipped and plugged in to the borg (resistance most likely futile). It’s the Jeff Booth thesis squared. I had a dream last night that I woke up startled from. We were at the local train station arriving home after an overseas holiday. Wife was carrying the baby and I was carrying all the bags. I put a bag down on the ground to find a train ticket. A train came in to the station and a crowd of people rushed in kicking the bag onto the tracks… I was most flummoxed… then I woke up.
