During peak hours, shop staff don’t need to glance at the screen to check the payment amount—they can simply listen to the notification sound. If a Bitcoin Lightning wallet aims to improve usability for merchants, it could adopt a similar approach by supporting reusable QR codes and customizable audio notifications. These could announce the amount received either in satoshis or in the local currency, allowing shopkeepers to instantly confirm transactions without breaking their workflow. This is a suggestion based on insights gathered after starting the WelB project, which encourages businesses to accept Bitcoin via Lightning wallets.
