All the big tech should leave AUS and geoblock them, leave them in a web dark corner, you would see grown people cry for them to come back.

Bitcoiner. Web developer.
80s music and videos were wild, just saw one on TV that even for 80s standards I was like wtf am I watching, lol, it made me think of Nostr, in a world where everything follows the same standards and everything looks the same, Nostr is messy, chaotic, weird, unpolished, but that is more human and genuine.
I cannot take Fedi app seriously without a dark mode.
"Oh we cannot filter stuff from Bitcoin because it will be a slippery slope and in no time we are going to be OFAC compliant" - this is a decentralized censorship resistant protocol, you as a node runner decide what to run. There is no slippery slope, the devs or gov can wake up tomorrow and put an OFAC compliant node and force miners to run it, then what? you don't run that version, you choose to relay those txs and hopefully a miner in other jurisdiction mines it.
Developers already have the power to censor whatever they like, they have the power to do whatever changes they like. The gov could create such implementation and force miners to run that version. Its up to node runners to choose if they want to run that version or not, so the slippery slope argument is silly.
Citrea : we need 144 bytes op_return or we have to put it in the utxo set.
Core : Ok, fuck it policy doesn't work anyway, here's a gazillion bytes.
Knots: That will invite more spam onchain and increase attack surface.
Core: Spam will get onchain anyway policy is not consensus.
Knots: Ok, here's a SF to block most arbitrary and data.
Core: Yeah, no.
In the middle of all this you have a bunch of stupid arguments about stupid stuff on both sides that is mostly gaslighting. While both sides went to extremes, want more bytes? sure here's a gazillion, we don't want data, here's a SF. How about solving the actual problem, give the 144 bytes and put it at consensus level so that miner can't get around the limit. Done.
