Week 78 with #SaturdaysForSatoshi. Today I was in the city center of Bonn with my buddy @Martin 🪧: "There is nothing more powerful in the world, than an idea whose time has come." I’m not sure how long it will take for the seed of permissionless, decentralized and open source protest to fuit, but I’m here to see it happen.

Crossroads Two paths to go, yet I don’t see the way Do I leave now or do I just stay. My heart wants to rest, Yet my head seeks conquest. I think I have the capabilities, To face all possible realities, But comfort and anxiety, Keeps me in places I don’t want to be. Here I am not me, here I am not free. And if I flee? What if everything I am just flees with me? What if there is no place where I can be me and free? Why don’t I fit in? Why don’t I begin? I know I will win, when I do not sin. Now doubts creeping in, Is selling your soul not the greatest sin? And what about the loved ones, I’m leaving behind, Just leaving them here wouldn’t be kind. Two paths to go, And I don’t want to stay, But going away? No way!

I feel torn between feelings of empathy and mischievous delight looking at the LA fires. On the one side these are people who lost their homes, memories and livelihoods. They are probably confused, scared, sad and angry about what happened. On the other side people living in these areas are very much responsible in accelerating #climatechange, which disproportionately affects people in less privileged communities throughout the globe. Although I hope that these traumatic events will inspire some to zoom out and make changes, I feel most people will just go back to business as usual once the first shock is settled down. I have no definite answers, I just feel that #Bitcoin might be a big part of the solution to fundamentally change the incentive structure of our global economic system, which will produce more and more disaster videos on your timeline until you get up and demonstrate change on #SaturdaysForSatoshi.
