My car is my mom’s old 2007 Lexus rx350 with110,000 miles. I’m trying to take great care of it so I can drive it for a long time. Maintenance Req. light popped on so I took it to a dealer for oil change and 15 point inspection and got this quote, lol. (I only opted for a couple of the services, still cost 1.8k usd 😡) I used to say maintenance was cheaper than a new car but now I’m not sure. Perhaps my mistake was taking it to an actual Toyota dealer instead of a back alley mechanic, but I don’t know any good mechanics.

I was on a run with a friend recently and he was getting bitten by bugs like crazy. I was right next to him but they weren’t bothering me at all. We got to talking about it and it turns out he eats breakfast smoothies everyday. I said we each had different light signatures, based in part by our diets— his with lots of fruit and mine with zero fruit. For whatever reason, the insects found the light he was emitting more compelling than my light. 😅
