For me, part of the #bitcoin mission is destroying the scourge that is Gainz Ideology. Gainz Ideologists grasp the basic concept that stuffing Dollars in a mattress doesn’t build a better life. The problem is thinking that’s OK as long as they can manufacture gainz faster than everyone else. This leads to more and more degenerate behavior, like purchasing stocks on Robinhood, a 3rd investment property, or placing a 7-game-parlay on Draftkings. The pursuit of more gainz has lead to massive growth in the financial sector, which has ballooned from ~3% total GDP to over 9% total GDP in recent years. The result is the Great Financial Brain Drain, as many of the brightest young minds are attracted to finance jobs with massive salaries and bonuses. These jobs are no longer needed- they build nothing and don’t provide valuable services. Gainz Ideologist deny bitcoin bc if it works, nobody needs them. As Upton Sinclair says, “it’s difficult to get a man to understand something if his salary depends on not understanding it.” Reject Gainz Ideology. Stop investing. Stop gambling.
