What if #lightning network becomes the settlement layer used by large financial institutions and nation states? Why use layer 1 bitcoin when it can be done much cheaper and faster on lightning? (Bitcoin miners investing hundreds of millions of dollars on mining appliances are betting on this not happening. 🍿) Once lightning matures, will it even need layer 1? Lmao. 😂 (opening, closing channels blah blah blah😑)
