Removing metadata from photos Metadata is extra information, in this case attached to a photo, which describes many things, some of which may be the location the photo was taken, specific information about the device, etc. If for some reason you don't want that information accessible publicly you can remove it. In linux you can use exiftool -ALL= *.jpg for example to remove metadata from all jpg files in that folder. In windows you can go to the file properties and delete it, but save a copy for yourself because when you have that personal, specific information about the photo, I believe you could use that to give considerable evidence that the photo is in fact yours, if that is something you would be interested in protecting. Just a random thought while I remove metadata from my photos that maybe not everyone who would want to know that, does, so hopefully that helps someone. I'm attempting to germinate some Texas Mountain Laurel seeds. I've been collecting them ever since I "discovered" the plant last year. From what I've read, it's not so easy to get these things to sprout! Especially since all I have right now are hard, year old + seeds. I'm going to try a few different methods: scarification, exposing them to cold, etc but tomorrow I plan to take a few cuttings and grab some fresh seeds because apparently you can get them to grow when they fresh as well, I guess? Something has been eating my beans and sorghum, and I think the ants got all the wildflower seeds. Still those beans and sorghum that are left are survivors! I'll be sure to collect that seed as I continue to build the soil. I am also almost ready to do my first biochar burn, I have a bunch of wood collected from neighbors and a couple of drums. Other than that I have been running myself crazy with projects after moving into my first house. So I spent the evening trying to get NOSTR all set up properly. It seems I have attached a wallet and I believe I have done the NIP-05 but I can't really tell if it worked. I didn't get to responding and sending all the messages I wanted to but in keeping with the spirit of gronostr and adding content that is relating to things other than bitcoin, I wanted to share a video of my cat welcoming me home. The pile of socks got double the size after the video as she kept at it. Yes, cat video, if there is one thing NOSTR desperately needs it is CAT CONTENT. Every other platform has the monopoly on it lol. They say cat pictures are the only thing on the internet that rivals the volume of content that porn consists of. Ok they don't say that but they might... I think I am learning how all this works, but since I've really never used twitter or most social media, I feel like I am using this way different than other people. I do now know that this is a "note" and not a "post" haha. I'm doing my best here friends. More to come!
