Quanto mais decisões de curto prazo são tomadas pelo governo, mais o futuro é comprometido e mais pessoas estarão demandando ações de curto prazo. Os incentivos democraticos praticamente garantem o colapso das sociedades que aderem esse modelo. Se partir de um cenario onde a população esta bem e vota de forma a preservar o futuro, basta uma crise. pode ser guerra, seca, inundaçao o que for que um percentual crescente da populaçao vai demandar o sacrificio do futuro pelo curto prazo. uma vez que a balança vira, nao tem volta.
