Finally finished.
What you see here are the very detailed computer sketches of my forthcoming works ‘The Whole Entire Universe’ - a representation of exactly 21 million spheres in a cube of 276x276x276, with 64x64 subtracted from each of the six sides - an incredibly elegant coincidence allowing for ever increasing squares of ever decreasing dimension, reminiscent of bitcoin’s exponential growth by means of exponential halving.
I will be doing these works first as technical drawings, then as oil paintings, and eventually as sculptures of various types, from plinth-mounted versions to gallery installations and ideally even large public monuments. 21 million, envisaged eloquently to the eye, and tangible to the hand.
These photos are high res if you want to see the detail, and best observed in low lighting. I greatly look forward to presenting the physical works.
