Dont get me wrong, special education is... also pretty bad. But the place I was at treated the "patients" as worse the livestock. Their solution to everything was sedating you forcefully by sticking a needle in your ass and pumping you full of whatever drug worked best and fastest. They did it whenever | had a ptsd attack or even when | just got a little mouthy out of anger or fear . All the rooms were completely visible, like living in a fish tank, including when you went to the bathroom, and the other patients were... well, barely human. Some would straight up smear blood, poop, and any other bodily fluids on their walls and floors, and made sounds that dont belong to human OR animals it was... messed up. The staff scared me I escaped that place far worse then when I went in. They "fixed" me by making me terrified of ever going back. Other kids who were less mentally functional were not so lucky . AS A FOSTER CHILD, I WAS FORCED TO DEAL WITH ALL OF THIS DRAMA BECAUSE I HAD MILD PTSD & ADHD FROM A ABUSIVE HOME.
