As institutions begin to lock up large amounts of Bitcoin into cold storage, effectively removing it from the usable money supply and turning it into a tradeable derivative that can't be used directly as money, the total supply being used as money is shrinking.

Happy #Bitcoin Fees Day!
Today is the anniversary of the first time that transaction fees exceeded the block subsidy. This happened in block 500521.
Nowadays I find myself using two Lightning wallets; custodial for receiving since I need always-on infrastructure for receiving Nostr zaps and opportunistic receives to an LNAddress, and non-custodial for holding the majority of my sats and making payments from. Every so often I send the balance of the former to the latter.
It would be nice to have a Wallet that handled both, and auto transferred from the custodial service to the non-custodial channel with my wallet's node when opening the wallet and its node going online.
Everyone's all bent out of shape about JPGs on Bitcoin but has anyone stopped to think about the PNGs!?
