When I was little I used to fantasize about being able to send someone images and thoughts from your brain directly to theirs without the filter of language (or art). I still wish I could get someone to understand me completely without having to explain anything. Airdrop a thought before I've bothered to encode it with words for the purpose of transmission 🥲 Communication can be so tiring sometimes Even with perfect communication you can't be sure you've truly been understood because of the fact that everyone has their own system of perception with a different frames of reference and internal dictionaries all formed by subjective experiences. Literally everyone is running custom internal software assigning meanings to your words and getting to understanding that is "close enough" but that is never *truly* verifiable. I think people study this ( #semiotics ) and the consensus is that true perfect understanding can never exist It's nice that understand eachother well enough to build amazing technologies and meaningful relationships and function very well. But the fact that we can never be sure someone is interpreting us at the deepest level in the way that we intend, is quite a lonely thought #thoughtstr #showerthoughts #meaning #philosophy #perception #braindump #emo

What's the cutest way to gift my sister and future BOL Bitcoin for their wedding?! #asknostr This is a shamefully last minute wedding gift haha I'm not buying them a hardware wallet I don't have enough time to get her a sats card. I almost did anyway cause it's so easy, but the coin kite website seems to not accept lightning (???) so the fee to pay on chain is more than the card itself 😂 River seems to be only for US residents and they want my SIN Open dime seems too techy, honestly even for me and they're ultra-normies . Also expensive and only in 3packs so that's out I could make a hot wallet and make two backups of the seed, and they can take it out whenever they're ready to self custody. Or I can just destroy my copy when they have it. A bit annoying but maybe fine. I'm 99% sure this is what I'll end up doing Unless are there any options I'm unaware of and missing? 😁 how do you all gift Bitcoin?
