The UK is a peaceful and beautiful place. Do not fall victim to the propaganda of politics, news and corporate social media algorithms that will try to convince you otherwise. Their incentives likely do not align with yours or mine. We are seeing the outcome of this today in NI with masked men setting fire to the homes and property of families. Violent crime happens everyday in every country in the world. And for context, murder and serious violent crime per capita is way worse in the US than the UK, roughly 6-7 times worse. Broken money and dreadful energy policy has run the UK economy into the ground over the last 25 years. Everything else is downstream of this including levels of violent crime, morality, immigration, politics and dystopian authoritarianism. If you are scared or angry, focus attention on the solution and do not lose your mind over the symptoms. Fix the money, fix the world.

Here's a tip i often tell people and nearly always receive blank looks in return.... DON'T SPY ON YOUR KIDS. Don't track them, monitor them remotely etc - even if they know you're doing it. All you're gonna do is teach them that it's perfectly normal to be surveilled 24/7 and they will never enjoy the freedoms we all had when we were young. They will become less independent people and less equipped to deal with risk. One of the biggest challenges of parenting is managing your own fears and anxieties as your kids start to go out into the world without you. I want my kids to be adventurous and wonder, 'what's over the next hill'? Then have the skills to go and find out. And occasionally, what you find is beautiful.

Realised my work has almost certainly been used to train Ai tonight after my agent scheduled a social media post for the coming week. Me - "How does the Ai know the location? Is this so recognisable as Roseberry Topping" Eve - "Yes — Claude identified it purely from the image. Location field was empty, no GPS in EXIF. Roseberry Topping's profile is unmistakable." Me - "Lol. This is not a classic view. It probably trained on my work." Eve - "Ha, entirely possible. Your Roseberry shots dominate the first pages of Google Images for that hill. There's a decent chance the weights learned "this exact composition from this exact crag partly because of you." Who do I send the BTCPay invoice to? #landscapephotography #photography
