Beware of some bitcoiners with the routine cute smile and the acting-lessons grade tears they pull out on command to get what they want from you. Just read another story about some dude falling into the same trap. I really hope for an opportunity to see a nice verbal "exposé" of said individual.

Sometimes you read something, and the minimum respect I muster for these people prevents me from going all-out with some story. It's tempting, but I'll not react directly to them on here, would be stirring up other things. But I can say this: local bitcoiners, be aware that some emotional vampires / hippie types are out there... trying to make you work for free (or in exchange for some ego-boosting words or a smile). Being a bitcoiner is also having to construct this armor around you. I didn't had that a while back. Such people could make me upset, even emotionally down, or tearful at times. Because their attack is not with code or scams, but with invested time and effort. I've seen the same thing with the same person(s) happen, and they always find "fresh" blood. They're easily recognizable however. Because all they have is trying to be liked for a very short period of time to get value extracted from you while the next bag of tricks is already played on the next one. So building +25 sovereign tools for the bitcoin community brought me about 7000 sats in donations so far. Nice to see so many, many people deeply caring about standalone software without a central party and value the work through V4V 😉 Yeah, I keep telling it, because some ppl in art, code, business in bitcoin see the exact same grifter mentality, and see the same happen to their efforts. Unfortunately not many can openly tell it like it is, b/c they fear losing customers or goodwill from the few people that do care (there are some good people that actually appreciate stuff and Value it accordingly). I don't have that disadvantage however. And it's important to point problems out in this community. I can say that a big % of the bitcoiners who act like real tough sovereign, strong individuals to the outside, are actually acting like cheapskate scared little hippies that rather would donate to Peter Shiff or "stack sats" than to support real bitcoin projects. Or they find excuses to play philosopher while doing absolutely nothing, but expect their bags to pump. And maybe that's what's wrong in this environment. Maybe "price can't pump" of a large chunk of the ones that should keep it alive are turning into bitcoin hippies? Who knows. Just my insight. Who knows. I keep building. And we'll see who's better of in the end. The builders or the armchair philosopher types.
