A few day a week I will go train in the morning and I have to get up at 4am. I have grown to love the hike out to the main road. It is probably the most peaceful and still part of my week. The moon is so bright when there isn't artificial light everywhere. When the outside world is quiet, it's amazing how clear the mind and thoughts are. #homestead #outdoors #hiking #growstr #landscape #yurt #yurtlife

Just a reminder that kids want time and memories with their parents more than they want things from them. I often forget this. Even a poor child with a strong family is going to live a richer life, in my opinion, than some upper middle class kid that realistically spends less than 5 hours a week with their parents. I'm happy for them to come crash my projects anytime. The whole reason I work so hard is for them in the first place, they aren't in my way. I even take the boys with me to work from time to time. Just so they can SEE what a workday looks like. That's something I never got a closeup on when I was young. #dadlife #growstr #nostr #homestead #offgrid

I posted this before but realized that the image was basically illegible. This is a little framework I use to filter certain thoughts about alternative lifestyles. I'm probably currently a minimalist realistically. But a deep part of me is drawn to asceticism.

I've had more life altering revelations from reading a handful of books than I've learned from all my scrolling combined. The resolution of thought is so much higher I feel like it even benefits my thinking in other areas. It is a powerful buffer against an the algorithmized fiat hologram.

This was the most difficult two weeks of my life so far. I'm NOT usually a busy guy but I've been working 12 to 16 hour a day for 5 weeks straight. Managing our house sale and moving everything out, continuing to write, got my bjj blue belt, working on several construction projects, building our off-grid setup, my stack wasnt where I wanted it when we pumped, and honestly, I feel like I'm hanging on by a thread. This was the first night I felt like I could truly relax and soak it all in. I'm so grateful... So grateful for work, for this amazing place to live...
