Bitcoin as an index measuring lack of faith in the system, as Walter Kirn posits here, is a decent heuristic. But the thing to really be worried about is not having enough to soften the landing.

I stepped away from social media for much of this summer, but I really backed off from nostr the most because I'm not particularly technical (took me forever to figure out how to self-verify with my domain), and I felt like I would just clutter the place since I couldn't contribute in that way. I'm amazed at what you've done with the place, everyone. Once I get my non-custodial lighting wallet finished, there will be some much deserved zapping I will have to catch up on. I'm blown away at what you all have created. It's all so much more refined. It's wild what smart people with purpose can achieve.
