Just finished C.S. Lewis's 'Till We Have Faces,' and it unexpectedly touched my heart! 💓 This gave me new insight on faith and suffering. Read my reflections on this incredible book here:

My latest short essay explores the parallels between the challenges faced by Axial Age thinkers and today’s biggest questions. Are we in the midst of a new intellectual revolution? 😊📚 If so, we’re living in exciting times!

Hermes, the Divine Messenger
I have always felt fascinated by Greek mythology. One of the most impressive Olympians is Hermes, the son of Zeus, king of the gods, and Maia, one of the Pleiades. He was renowned for his ability to traverse between different realms. As the messenger of the gods, he acted as a link between the divine and the human, carrying messages between the gods and mortals on earth. In his role as the psychopomp, or guide of souls, he escorted the dead on the hazardous journey from the world of the living to the realm of the dead.
Lately, I find myself thinking about Hermes and his ability to move seamlessly between realms. In today’s society, things feel more polarized than ever, especially in the United States as the presidential elections approach. We find ourselves trapped in echo chambers that create divisions as deep and overwhelming as the Styx, the river that separates the living from the realm of the dead. This is why, when someone has the extraordinary ability to communicate effectively with those holding differing viewpoints, it’s so refreshing and rare—like being in the presence of a divine messenger.
Finding inspiration in Hermes, we can navigate the challenges of our time by becoming more like him—moving across the heavens, the earth, and the underworld—bridging gaps with intelligence, diplomacy, and negotiation.¡Feliz inicio de semana! 😊

"The societal polarization in today’s culture could only be mitigated through conversations about the unfamiliar in both science and politics." - Dr. Avi Loeb
I finished "Imminent" by Luis Elizondo. That was quick! I was taking notes, and I have sooooo much to say, which means that Lue did a good job because his intention was to start (or continue) a conversation. Hopefully, I can find the time to write some of my thoughts about the book, and I will help 'keep the ball rolling.'
I loved this conversation at the beginning of the book because it reflects most people’s attitude towards this topic (including my own some time ago): Jim: 'What do you think about UFOs?' Lue: 'I don’t.'

#UAPsJust finished "Broken Money" by Lyn Alden, and needless to say, it is an amazing book. I highly recommend it because she did a great job explaining difficult concepts about how the traditional financial system works. It really clarified a lot of concepts for me.

Now, I’m really changing gears and just started a book I was eagerly waiting for: "Imminent" by Lue Elizondo. I’m still in the first few chapters, and I already feel somber (those who know Lue will understand what I mean 😔)."

After an interesting conversation about Nostr with my dear friend @Tico 🇨🇷, during which I told him that although I understand and support what it stands for (freedom of speech and censorship resistance), I don’t find Nostr engaging; I have to remind myself to come here and see what’s going on (and I rarely do). I guess I’m not following the right people or finding content that I like and find interesting (if you have tips on this, let me know). He patiently listened and reflected on what I was saying, and what I took away from the conversation was, 'Be the change you want to see in the world.' So, I’ll try to be more active and might share some silly things that I like, despite knowing that it will feel like I’m talking to a void and that probably no one will ever read my posts 😜 .
Thanks @Tico 🇨🇷 I appreciate your patience 🙏

Have a nice weekend!

I just heard these beautiful words from the Buddhist scholar Alan Wallace:
"When I view the world with the eyes of wisdom I see that I am nothing, but when I view the world with the eyes of compassion I see that I am everything."
Happy Friday!

"Corporate media shows the news in a way that makes us turn against each other. They just have identity politics and the politics of division and fear. Your neighbor is not your enemy." - Jimmy Dore during his live show last night.
Love your neighbor. See yourself in others. Believe in humanity. 🫶
"Desde la Dimensión Bitcoin"
La comprensión de la naturaleza de Bitcoin y su posible impacto social, filosófico, político y económico, parece estimular un cambio en la perspectiva y de comportamiento en el individuo, que incluso muchos han comparado con un despertar espiritual. En este ensayo exploro las razones por las que considero que se da este fenómeno y cómo este acontecimiento puede repercutir de forma colectiva en la sociedad.

"It's not the answer that enlightens but the question". -Eugène Ionesco
After spending some time reading and listening to other people's opinions about the current UAP puzzle, I think that Avi Loeb, Eric Weinstein, Russell Brand and Jimmy Dore have provided very interesting thoughts. Bitcoiners might find Dore's perspective intriguing...
I truly believe that this is a great opportunity for us to contemplate our place in the universe and the way we relate to other beings. I am also excited about theologians!
During this journey, I also keep thinking about some paragraphs that I read on "The creature of Jekyll Island" by Edward Griffin, page 521-522:

“...If the knowledge you find is unusual then strange becomes a way of life" - Thomas Campbell
I am fascinated by the recent news on the UFO-UAP topic. For some strange reason, whistleblowers are now (?) emerging, sharing their testimony and making claims that ‘eventually’ can be supported by evidence. This is shocking and exciting. Many argue that “this is too crazy”, the whistleblowers are lying, this is just some secret program they don’t know about, or it’s clearly a “psyop campaign”... and just like that, they dismiss the topic. I am well aware that they could be right and this might turn out to be a non-issue. But I believe it’s important to get to the bottom of this and ask questions.
I think skepticism should be the path forward but ignoring that there is something ‘weird’ going on is not the way. Scientists are skeptic and curious by nature, so I think they should be the ones asking for ‘the evidence’ to investigate further. This evidence, according to whistleblowers, is material (or a vehicle (?)) of non-human origin that was apparently retrieved. Isn’t this exciting (if true) and an amazing opportunity to get answers?
To my big surprise, the reaction of the public has been total indifference. I just can’t wrap my head around it. I always thought that when humanity could finally have the slightest chance to get closer to obtaining knowledge about the existence of advanced non-human intelligence (or maybe us from the future?), we would be in awe. But instead, the apathy towards this topic makes me feel very disappointed and naive.
Is it fear? Are we too immersed in our own lives that even the thought of understanding our place in the universe is too trivial?
This has been an exciting week for me! But I know that only a few can relate… I have already understood that physical reality encompasses a lot more and is not what it seems 💓.
