given I primarily use the bird app for shitposting (and now apparently marketing, fml) whereas nostr is where real work gets done and real learning happens, I’d be very happy to discuss Capital In The 21st Century if anybody has any questions. AMA!

sometimes I regret only using twitter for shitposting and nostr for actual thinking because occasionally it’s useful to take actual thoughts from nostr and use them to dunk on degenerate fiat tweeters. the current thing™, if you are curious, is that a lot of people are revealing themselves to be closet MMTers in their take on Sequoia keeping $1bn at SVB and I had a massive note a while back about how t-bills and money market mutual funds are effectively the only real “money” now (even though this is entirely circular since they are defined as the rights to money …)

select quotes from mrs allen this morning: “you’re just arguing about definitions, aren’t you? this doesn’t make any difference in the real world does it?” “omg you’re sooooo annooooooooooying.” “oh nooooooooooooo, not one of those days when you write! I’m gonna be aloooooooooooooone.” few.

this is obviously a joke but it’s also a fun case study on hype and fear mongering about “AI” and the philosophy of computation in general. an 8 year old can understand the Collatz Conjecture but it doesn’t seem like there is enough energy in the universe to brute force our way to a counterexample that would disprove it. you need to actually *think* and computers can’t do that.
