This morning for breakfast I had greengages—the most sublime of plums. All the sudden I was transported to childhood summers in my home. We had fruit trees in one corner of the property and we enjoyed a steady source of greengages for the season. image

Crossfit founder Greg Glassman once called this book “the bible” and he based all Crossfit gymnastics foundations on it. And yes, of course, I do have a copy. image

So, Elon is moving to eliminate the block feature. Twitter is so toxic that the block feature is essential—otherwise the cancel culture would manage to succeed unfettered. I’ve suffered so much cancel culture and it took me so many efforts to make my Twitter experience a healthy one that I’ll have to close my account if the block feature disappears. It is a paradox that on the completely deregulated Nostr I’ll find more peace.

Now that my low-IQ enemies deridingly call me “Holy Grail custodian,” I want to express my fondness and admiration for Evola’s book on the Grail—probably the most important medieval spiritual mystery. And, of course, I’m very flattered of being the custodian of the Holy Grail. image

I really wish there were other type of conversation topics in here. Maybe I’m following the wrong people. Any people interested in history / religion / theology?

Fourth time reading ‘Elmer Gantry’ since Yule. I think I miss being a Professional Good Man. image

Why I dislike modern electronics? I have an 1890s pocket watch working in perfect order. It belonged to my great-grandfather. Been repaired only once. I have an iPhone 13 pro I bought a year ago. It works so poorly that I'm thinking I'll need to replace it in the coming months.

When I commissioned the logo for the Modern Platonist, I asked the designer to use the International Klein Blue, to which I'm very attached. Of course, he did not. Oddly, still today I admire the work of Yves Klein, even though it is degenerate art. Klein was a Rosicrucian. I was raised in a house full of Rosicrucian symbolism, because it had been built by the founder of AMORC in Spain, Carme Manrubia. One of the rooms, where rituals were performed, featured a beautiful International Klein Blue glass window.

I’m re-reading Sinclair Lewis’ ‘Elmer Gantry’ for the third time since December. It is a real compulsion. I identify too much with the protagonist. Too many situations, too many thoughts are too familiar for someone like me who’s been a Professional Good Man… I transfer all my past, all my yearnings for a path not taken, abandoned, into the reading of Elmer Gantry’s existence.
