Most people think of free speech as an abstract, idealized human right - something that naturally exists in modern democracies.
But the truth is far uglier. Free speech is messy, uncomfortable, and no one is immune to being offended or unsettled by it. No matter how stoic someone claims to be, human nature leans toward censorship - especially by those who have something to hide or fear exposure.
And that’s exactly why free speech must be actively and relentlessly defended.

Keiser Report featuring Dr. Saifedean Ammous
Don't get me wrong, I don't want to age. But bitcoin gives aging a silver lining. It's almost more exciting to think about the future - when you are older - than what happens in the present.
What percentage of BTC is self-custodied? More than 50%? Chatgpt says 12-15m
#asknostr
There are 21m BTC that will ever exist. Many of those coins have been lost and will never be recovered. Loads more are held by governments or companies that are subservient to governments. Then there are the plebs whose BTC is in the hands of custodians who will bow down to the governments at a moment's notice. This means that the BTC held in self-custody - the very kind that can ultimately separate money from the state - is profoundly important, and likely far scarcer than we can imagine.
One thing I love about buying Bitcoin is that it quantifies the relationship between work ethic and results. You learn in a measurable way that - in the short-term - hard work doesn't always mean better results. But the harder you work over a longer period of time, the more likely you are to realize your goals. Buying Bitcoin is a great teacher in this sense
A child born today is not going to have a bank account. They will have a Bitcoin wallet
