Captain’s log:
2017 – Heard tales of digital gold across the sea. Set sail with a crew of ICOs and dreams. First glimpse: of Ethereum and many others. They seemed so promising—shimmering cities on the horizon.
2018–2019 – Storms. Wreckage. Maps made of hype. Washed up on strange islands—low liquidity, high ambition. Many never made it back.
2020 – DeFi waters. Rich in appearance, treacherous in depth. Mined yield, but mostly confusion. We heard of a free and prosperous continent, but it sounded like Shangri-La.
2021 – NFT flotillas, alt-L1 armadas. Noise on every frequency. Every harbor promised riches, but ships foundered on their reefs.
2022–2023 – Drifted. Studied old charts. Began to suspect the treasure was never “out there” but close to us all along.
2024 – Made landfall. Bitconia. Stark, honest terrain. No illusions. No overlords. Just time, consensus, and freedom.
Final entry. It’s not gold. It’s not new. It’s home.

Make me laugh, learn or take my breath away.
Congratulations New Hampshire! From Bretton Woods to the first US state Strategic Bitcoin Reserve, you were there for every great reset.

Without wanting to offend any Christians with my interpretation, I’ve always loved this Jesus quote.
In this moment, he was rather savvy about how to be independent and free without getting on the wrong side of the imperial state.
Eventually that state became the Roman Catholic church.
Bitcoiners, watch and learn.
One goal is that my node earns more than I zap. Sometimes, it happens.
I see a lot of stuff on Firehose, a lot of that is Chinese, which I can’t read. I just translated a random post, with some difficulty … and I learned something.
Is there a easy translation service on Nostr yet? This protocol could be an important tool for maintaining communication in troubled times. #asknostr
