Hello fellow freedom seekers! I just started my Nostr journey. I use the Damus client but I NEED HELP. First of all, there’s nothing on my homepage. I don’t see who I followed. When I tap the follow button it changes to “unfollowing…” I don’t know why. Also my DMs keep disappearing. Like blank. I also have to download again and again who follows me… Last thing: everyone tells me to set up lightning, but how do I do that? Any links, resources, help, thoughts would be much appreciated. Hello world! This is my first post on freedom web. I’m not a developer. I’m a normie who likes digital stuff but I have to say, I’m getting obsessed with the idea of freedom tech. My reasons are simple: as I grew up the internet changed in a bad way imo. I realized as a teenager that I hate Google, and that there’s no alternative. I felt trapped. And that was it. With no IT background, I went down the rabbithole. DeGoogling phones, linux, proton mail, f-droid etc… you name it. (Recently I even started a homelab project to self host Nextcloud but after months of trial end error without IT background I gave up and went on the Google/Notion route… I will return though and try harder) I was very interested in crypto in the early years, but had no money and didn’t understand it fully at the time. Fast forward to today, I had the chance to learn DeFi through a platform and decided to learn more about bitcoin again. The more I learned the more I became a maxi. And after tens of hours of podcasts and content, I ended up here. Because of Nostr and Bitcoin and the AMAZING peaople behind them, I have hope again. I feel like I can smell the fresh air of freedom again. Thank you Nostr and Bitcoin devs! #introductions
