Ok, back to SimCity 2000. Some simple layoyts for your citygrid: 3x3, surrounded by roads. It works, but is expensive to maintain as it requires 6-7 acres of roads for every 9 blocks of development. 6x6, surrounded by roads. The most common development type as it allows full development of zones, and requires a managable 12-13 acres of road for 36 acres of zoned land. Twice as effective as 3x3. 9x9, ditto. Allows at most 78 acres of development to 22 acres of road, or 72 / 18 if you place a Big Park in the middle. Useful for propping up residential and commercial land values, but produces a lotof traffic 18x18. Unusual and space hungry. Its basically four 6x6 developments at the corners of the plot with a 6 acre wide cross in the middle that can be used flexibly to place more development, bus or train stations or social structures like schools, hospitals or colleges. #games
