Auf dem Specter Desktop Vortrag von @k9ert wurde ebenfalls der Specter DIY thematisiert.

🔒 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗿-𝗗𝗜𝗬 𝘃𝟭.𝟭𝟬.𝟯 𝗶𝘀 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲. The headline feature: full transaction transparency when signing — Version, Locktime, sequences and RBF status. Something most hardware wallets still don't show you. Plus better scanning and expanded multisig support. 👉 github.com/cryptoadvance/specter-diy/releases 𝗡𝗼 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴. Transaction Version, Locktime and input sequences (incl. RBF status) are now shown when signing. Particularly useful for timelock recovery flows. Most other hardware wallets still hide these fields. Thanks to Oren for this one. 𝗠𝟯𝗬 𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗱. Smoother scanning experience — no reprogramming necessary, settings work out of the box. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗠𝟲𝟱 𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗴𝗼𝘁 𝗮 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝘂𝗽𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲. Faster scanning, support for more QR codes, and a fix for newer GM65 units reading CompactSeedQR. 𝗠𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗴 𝘀𝗲𝘁𝘂𝗽𝘀, 𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗿. Expanded descriptor detection — more formats recognized automatically when importing. 𝗔 𝗳𝗲𝘄 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗺𝘀: New "About" screen. Button text changed: "Enter BIP-39 password" → "Enter passphrase" (correct terminology). 𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗲: 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝘂𝗽𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲. We're rotating the signing keys (Ben removed, k9ert added) and shipping an updated bootloader with the new key set. Skip this release and your device gets stranded on v1.9.0 — no further SD-card upgrades, only JTAG re-flashing. Darko one of our association members had a Masterclass at the LuganoPlanB Forum in Lugano. Here he showed how to set up a Multi Signatur Wallet. Of course with the Specter DIY as one of the cosigners.

Happy to welcome two new members to our Specter Association. Darko, who ran a couple of Specter workshops at major Bitcoin conferences. And @Surface a huge Specter fan who's been printing Specter cases since the early days.

Checkout up from minute 35. Schnuartz about the specter Assoziation. View quoted note →
