All these damn taxes. Where is it all going? The teachers? The schools? The children’s food?

I notice that I am not showing up as who I want to be when I drink alcohol. Both while drinking and after drinking due to being tired and hungover. It’s like I do all these things to manage the drinking best but I know with absolute clarity that I am best off the alcohol. Sure drinking clear liquors is better than drinking mixed drinks. Sure eating and lining the stomach is better than not lining the stomach. Sure having electrolytes pre and post drink helps. But this is missing the point. I am a much more responsible member of my family and friends without booze in my system. I am a much better lover. I am more connected to the earth and everyone that is here with me. I don’t drink and drive. I never missed work. I don’t drink all day. I don’t live under a porch. I never had a rock bottom. I just know with absolute certainty, i’m a better human. And i can show up as who I am. More connected and loving booze free. Don’t let me ew your yum. Just not for me. 🙌🧘❤️
