Cast Iron Gang !!!
Reporting the first few days with this bad boy.
Iβm getting very comfortable using this pan. I enjoy the way it takes a while to heat up and how it stays hot after the fact. Makes me more present while cooking, i am way more intentional with my cookware π π§.
Seasoning/clean up all that was stressing me out before i started, after a few cleans and whatnot.. I actually enjoy it. I feel more connected with the pan and my food. Something almost primal about it. I want to keep this thing in a sack on a stick and just post up in the woods somewhere π
So far iβve just been cooking burgers. All different kinds. LaFreida 80/20 burgers are LEGIT. ground beef is also awesome. Smash burgers really slap on this pan. I love the little crunchy bits of ground beef that this pan allowsβ¦ Fuck ya!!
Still not used to how heavy the pan is. I need to know how you guys are maneuvering with it. I have a deep fear that i will make this thing hot and melt myself by dropping it on my thigh or something. But i suppose given how heavy it is i will be VERY intentional with it.
Do you any of you have a special glove to use to pick it up when transferring food or moving it while itβs hot? Curious to know.

Had an incredible experience this weekend. Abused my brain, body and mind with a LOT of camping and walking. It was a lot. It wasnβt until I checked into a hotel that I realized how exhausted and anxious I was. I did a lot of meditations via Spotify to calm myself down and get some rest.

While in the thick of the anxiety.. I continued to do guided meditations. I found one audio that was 12 minutes. 2 minutes of ads in the beginning, and 10 minutes of great guidance. This one worked well for me so even though it was absolute chaos to reset the recording to 2:00 to skip the ads.. It was worth it.
I took some CBD, some magnesium glycinate, and water. Stood infront of the AC unit in the hotel with an eye mask (really great one.. the bitcoin of eye masks. Makes a huge difference) and listened to 3 rounds of guided meditations.
While in that anxious moment it was like my subconscious was being unraveled. Things I fear most. What is really important in life. What I have been neglecting. People that I love so deeply and that I do not spend enough of my life with.
Definitely not good to stay too long with those thoughts as important as they are as they were not helping the anxiety.
So i just continued the 478 breathing. In front of the AC. In the moment.
However now that I am no longer feeling anxious, and am super well rested. I would love to act on these profound thoughts and feelings. I know deep down in my subconscious they are real. I want to be a new human. A new being on this earth. I am thankful of the life iβve lived before but it does not serve me anymore. Iβd like to live my life to the fullest with the people and beings I love most.
