To be honest, I wasn’t a big fan of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. It was too gimmicky for my tastes. But there was one episode that proved to me the show had potential. It was season 3 episode 9. When Ortegas played board games with a Gorn. Excellent episode, in my opinion.
Would be cool if Paramount+ would produce a Star Trek series set in the mirror universe.
Lura Thok is half Klingon and half Jem'Hadar. Her inclusion has ruffled some feathers, Mostly of those who decided they disliked the show before watching it and need to grasp straws for reasons. Anyway I have some thoughts. 1/3
The Masters of the Universe teaser looks solid. That’s exactly what I need another movie to kick me in the member berries. Here’s to hoping it’s good.
Now people are complaining about the new Masters of the Universe because in the teaser his name plate says He/Him. This is upsetting because of course a movie about a character named He-Man should not include pronouns.
People have been complaining about Star Trek since the Next Generation. Every new series is met with hostility. It speaks less on the quality of the show and more on fans not liking change.
Our favorite series will go through changes over time. This goes triple when they have been ongoing longer than some of us have been alive. The 4th Doctor is still my favorite. Captains Kirk and Picard are still my favorites, but there are so many great stories I would of missed if I stopped there.
Star Trek does have some “problematic” episodes. It also has some really thoughtful and insightful episodes. Sometimes aired right after the other, almost contradictory in it’s messaging. That’s a long way of saying Star Trek is a product of it’s time while also going beyond the times.
Post: Star Trek has always been “woke”. Comment: “nuh uh. It was progressive. It discussed topics like bigotry and equality with science fiction. It didn’t try and cram it down our throats.” Me: image
Maybe I’m just getting old, but I honestly don’t think glasses being used in Star Trek that big’a deal. If that’s the only criticism you can muster remember the fact that some people are allergic to Retinax V. If glasses are the reason you dislike it, I don’t know what to tell you.
RFK lost the battle for raw milk. So we are now pivoting to the war on whole milk.

It’s Martin Luther King Jr. Day. It remains so even if the current administration won’t acknowledge it. Get ready for media outlets to quote the only speech speech they know, while saying he would disagree with current protests.
If it makes people mad make sure to put it on the top of your read/watch list and formulate your own opinion.
Jake Lang went and fucked up. A perfect example of the equation f(a) = F° #fafo #minneapolis #resist
The time will come when someone asks you to turn a John Hughes flick into a sitcom. It’s very important that you say “NO”.
