for everyone who is struggling with family issues, something that has helped me heal my relationship with my parents is knowing this: It's their first time living too. Their inner child is hurt from their parents as well. Right now we have a lot of information available to us for us to heal our traumas and become better people. Right now it's normal for us to go to therapy and heal. They didn't have any of this, they don't know how to heal from their past. Let us be more patient and understanding towards them. Of course this is not an excuse for toxic parents to abuse their children. It's just a way for us to see them in a different light, and understand where they are coming from. 🫂
