I love how live events chats have been broken for .. months maybe.. even a year. Cross-apps. And somehow the usual gets blamed: "must be the relays, must be WoT". Hint. It's not.
It's the lack of testing, follow-up, diagnosing and debugging.
Relays are not your scapegoat, app devs. Fix your shit. Or even just test your shit.
Any client that has functionality for updating profiles, could do us all a favor by helping their users with the compression or etc. A small step, in a better direction. It can only be done client side, without this, leads to centralization pressure and image processing proxies that no one wants to run or should have to.
