The arrogance and dismissive contempt for others always irked me, but I set that aside in the spirit of "separating the art from the artist."
In retrospect, someone who is that brashly confident in themself is perhaps less likely to take seriously the possibility of their own failure, to question their own assumptions, to seek to disprove their own results. We've seen it in science, now we see it in engineering.
I am recalibrating how I assess people who build things. Humility doesn't merely make someone more pleasant to deal with, I now believe. Self-doubt, so long as it is not crippling, is a virtue of the utmost importance.

The future was always a dice roll, it's just being brought into sharper focus now.
Feels like we're about to slay another hero tonight. As is tradition.
I could have sworn it was just a few weeks ago that I could scroll through YakiHonne articles on "Global" and find interesting things to read from people I'd never heard of around the world.
Now it's just a dizzying onslaught of porn, updating with something new and depraved every few seconds.
The Wild West indeed...
TFW you have to wake up and take on the surveillance state, central banks, and the military-, technical-, and financial-industrial complexes, again.

Is there, like, a comprehensive user manual for various nostr clients? Perhaps one that explains how actions taken on one may manifest differently on another?
Feels like a bit of a stick-and-bubblegum contraption sometimes, would love to learn more about the nuts and bolts.
You write well, and this helped me, a distant foreigner who sees only the filtered news, understand, even if only a little, the messy complexity of this war.
Keep writing, even if few are reading it at this time. Someday the world may need your voice to understand what really happened during these grim years.
This article is well worth reading, especially if you have some education (even informal) in physics. I think it provides a valuable perspective on the BIP-110 debate as well, regardless of which side you're on. It certainly helped me, a relative newcomer, understand SegWit better.
There is a certain brand of "bitcoin through the lens of physics" writing that tends towards crackpottery and abstraction to the point of nonsense, but this is not that. Highly recommend.

Concrete, steel, and the products of the industrial revolution generally, can become oppressive in the excess, as they are for me, a city-dweller.
But they are also testaments to the singular brilliance and ingenuity of our species, and for that reason I still love them, even if I wish to escape them somewhat.

Erosion. Entropy waits for no man and, indeed, no mountain.

Noticed that none of the people I followed on Primal recently actually stuck. Did some tests.
I would go to a profile, hit "follow" and then the button would switch to "unfollow." So far so good.
Go back to feed, then return to same profile, and it once again shows the button as "follow."
I could repeat this process as many times as I wanted and the follow would not stick. Go to Wisp, no issues, follows stick.
Anyone else have this problem or know what causes it? Thanks.
