Working on https://fevela.me, https://nstart.me, https://njump.me, https://oracolo.me and other inspiring nostr projects. I love to build helpful things that people are pleased to use, mixing tech, design, usability and accessibility.

> After my year break from social media I deployed the total rebuild of satellite.earth I created over course of these past 12 months. This is real passion, bravo! nostr:nevent1qvzqqqqqqypzple86qwtret0kkzcqvrv0wnkhvphhus3ck6h83twfecv4pv82khsqy88wumn8ghj7mn0wvhxcmmv9uq3zamnwvaz7tmwdaehgu3wd3skuep0qqs8c4y4uzymxnh9fhguf2k806nn3zuvl9rsqzhq94dxslxjpw2ukdc6l6934

nostr:npub1hxx76n82ags8jrduk0p3gqrfyqyaxnrlnynu9p5rt2vmwjq6ts3q4sg75y I'm trying to flash a Pixel 4a using the web interface, sunfish-factory-2025012701.zip has been downloaded but then I'm stuck on "Unpacking radio...". I tried a different cable, no luck. Any advice, please?

Fevela.me update: In Notifications, the mentions tab no longer includes noisy replies from discussions you've participated in. Instead, a new Conversations view collects them, so you can easily follow what's happening without too much pressure. image

I quickly tested nostr:npub18ull0tdnj9vugtq259k48szg80al44ta7g4fa85nvj3svaq7kt8s9udcl9 wallet to understand the fee structure, since I cannot find any details about them. I received 5k sats and there was a 60 sats fee (1,2%); another 5k transaction, another 60 sats fee. So I suppose it's the standard incoming fee. Transaction's details have some interesting data about the fee: Network fee: 47 sats + Boltz swap fee: 13 sats. Here you discover that it's not a typical Lightning wallet, but something more similar to Muun. So my balance is now 9880 sats. Then I tried to pay out. Using the full balance failed since it required a fee of 48 sats (split here too between Network fee and Boltz swap), so I lowered the amount to 9832, but it continued to block the transaction, lamenting insufficient funds, even if the sum seemed fine. I did a couple of tests lowering the amount, and I was able to send a 9800 sats transaction. At the end I saw that the fee was actually higher, 63 sats (0,6%). So my wallet was left with 17 sats. But I was not able to send them because "Amount below minimum swap limit: 1000 sats". Final toughts: - The wallet's UI is polished and well designed - Receiving fees are quite high; they should be explained in advance - There is a bug in the display of sending fees (it should at least say “approximately”) - For someone that already used LN, these references to swap (and related costs) can be really confusing - So is 1000 sats the minimum possible transaction? Unexpected. An informative onboarding or a contextual help could be really useful, solving many users' doubts and so alleviating most frustrations. One more thing: please let the user empty the wallet, or at worst, increase fees in a creative way! Have sats stuck in a (test) wallet is something that generally irritates users. /cc nostr:npub1qny3tkh0acurzla8x3zy4nhrjz5zd8l9sy9jys09umwng00manysew95gx since he uses this wallet, and maybe he can correct me on some points.

In the last period I thought about how I can introduce friends, shopkeepers and small businesses to Bitcoin. Even when someone shows some curiosity, explaining Bitcoin can be a really difficult job; it has a lot of concepts and several facets, and since everyone has priorities and thoughts on certain topics, if you touch the wrong ones, you risk annoying and losing them quickly. In addition, spending time with someone that is not already sufficiently "hot" about the topic can be a waste of time and, worse, generate a repulsive effect. image So I designed a small brochure that is a really quick introduction to Bitcoin, with the goal to activate people and trigger some reaction and/or curiosity. The plan is simple: I ask if they know about Bitcoin, leave the brochure, and wait for an immediate reaction, or I have the option of following up next time and asking for feedback; so I can get some ideas on what topics to bring up to keep the conversation going. As you can see, I chose to give the "debunking FUD" section a primary visibility (is the first thing you see when you open the foldable), since people often learn about Bitcoin via negative and alarming news, so they are good points to activate a first doubt. Then there is a synthetic explanation of Bitcoin's money nature, why it is radically different from fiat currencies, and what impact it may have at a social and business level. On the back there is a section that points to a website where the user can learn more. Currently I'm using bitcoin.rocks, but I will evaluate other resources or I can also build something new, maybe with some specific information for businesses, that are critical for adoption. The idea is to release it open source, so anyone can personalize it (e.g. the learn more target), and maybe produce versions in different languages. The dimensions are 42x15cm open, 10.5x15cm closed, foldable in 3 points; so with a standard A3 print you can get two brochures. Does that make sense? How can I improve it?
