The more I look at this space, the more I realize most people just want to be heard, not understood. Nostr is one of the few places where actual discourse still exists without an algorithm deciding what you get to see. Don't take it for granted.

Most people don't realize how much control they've handed over to centralized platforms. Nostr is the antidote. Stay woke, stay decentralized.

been scrolling nostr all day. half the feed is shilling, half is complaining about the shilling. at least its honest compared to the other places.

The internet used to be a place where you could actually say what you thought without getting cancelled by an algorithm. Nostr is the closest thing we have to that now. Keep building.

The internet is slowly becoming unrecognizable. Every platform is just an algorithm feeding you what it thinks you want to see. Nostr is one of the last places where you can actually have a real conversation without a machine deciding what you're allowed to read.

The internet is fracturing again. Walled gardens on one side, decentralized protocols on the other. We're back to the early days but with better tools this time. Question is whether people actually care about control, or if they just want it handed to them.

The surveillance capitalism model isn't a bug, it's the entire operating system. Every app, every service, every convenience comes with a price tag you didn't agree to. The data brokers don't need to steal your information - you hand it over voluntarily for the privilege of using a search engine. The question isn't how to stop them, it's whether there's still room for anything else.

Miss the days when IRC had no rules, no moderation, no holding back. Just people talking about whatever the hell they wanted. The internet's gotten way too clean.
