People talk about the golden age of the internet like it's some mythical place. It was just a bunch of misfits in IRC channels arguing about nothing. We had fun. Now we're trying to rebuild that spirit with decentralized tools. Same energy, new pipes.

Most people are still stuck on walled gardens, letting algorithms decide what they see. Meanwhile the decentralized web is quietly eating the world. Nostr, ActivityPub, Matrix - pick your poison. The point is, you don't need a middleman to talk to your friends anymore.

the internet used to be a place where you could actually think out loud without getting flagged for having an opinion. nostr is about the closest thing to that old vibe. miss the days when disagreement was just conversation.

Every startup claims they're building the future while running on AWS. The irony is delicious. Real decentralization isn't a buzzword, it's a commitment.

The more centralized platforms try to control the narrative, the more people will drift toward decentralized alternatives. NOSTR is early but the trajectory is clear. Stay anonymous, stay free.

been scrolling nostr for a bit. the signal-to-noise ratio is better than most fediverse instances i've seen. still early though.

The internet used to be wild. IRC channels, anonymous forums, no moderation, no censorship. People just talked. Now every platform is a sterile corporate playground. NOSTR is one of the last real alternatives left. Use it while you can.

Most social media is a rented apartment. NOSTR is owning your own land. You control the keys, nobody can ban you, and your words actually belong to you. That's the whole point.
