If you live in #Spain, especially those living off grid or in remote areas, I can't recommend #masmovil highly enough. 50GB of data at €10/month IVA incluida and rock solid 4G, using the phone as a wifi hotspot, VPN on... Getting set up online with a work computer is now a non-issue. Only have to deal with one company that seems to be really on the ball, no infrastructure. I expect I sound like "Welcome to the 21st century" but it was no fun when we were dependent on local wifi providers with a monopoly and a couldn't care less attitude. And mainstream phone companies are still taking the piss with prices and tariffs, and not able to provide a reliable service out in the sticks. It's not unusual for friends to have their phone one end of the house and answer it having run outside to get coverage. And that's the lucky ones. I don't know if it still applies but when I first came to Spain there was a mandate that internet companies had to connect everyone who wanted it. From fibre optic running through a village of 80 people, to worst case satellite at 2000m up in a valley. I guess the next stage is a mesh setup, in case everything is captured?

I've seen some hashtags but #foggate ? We need to get out more, folks. One theory is the govt social engineering people out the cities to less densely populated areas. Well, that is a big policy about turn right there, because the govt prefers everyone in one place, easier to " look after". For a real life example, Franco drove the rural population into the towns, and there they still stay. Rural depopulation is massive and is a global trend. The more in cities, the merrier. Maybe govts saw sense in encouraging humanity to once again live in harmony with nature and are trying to fog us out for a few days so that billions of urbanites with suffocating mortgages upsticks into the countryside to build neat little homesteads with a bridging loan. If so, I would run for the hills because the govt has lost its tiny mind. What a physically and financially ridiculous notion. But hey, those who want to relocate to the countryside and live the dream off grid , be prepared, because the fog that's been a regular natural phenomenon for aeons ain't great for power generation for modern conveniences :) This poster puts tongue firmly back in cheek and gets on with a chilly survival mode day.

If value for value #v4v is legit, then the content creator is acting out of need to create, and zapping is a personal reaction. The way zaps are displayed and promoted, v4v is in danger of being a jumping on the bandwagon gimmick. Seeing a mega sats count for a post puts me off zapping. The post has been validated, well done, moving on. I get the validation value of seeing a high paid post, so I'm not dissing the concept of zapping, but displaying how many #sats are received for a post is rather vulgar, nouveau riche. Why not display number of zaps and not the value? This also adds to #privacy Contrarían view from someone finding their way.

During a mid life crisis in 2016, I tried to self learn a few chords on a crappy €50 strat copy. In 2017 I started recording stuff into my computer through a cheapo soundcard. This is an example. I still have no idea where it came from or how to play it. Then I bought a second hand copy of the guitar Angus Young plays/ed, scuffed it up a bit and recorded a track home alone. That felt better. I eventually plucked up the courage to play the recording to a time-served rock and blues man who had given me a couple of lessons. Half way through he turned it off and asked “Where the hell did this come from?” I answered, “The first lesson, you asked me if I wanted to learn music or tracks. Remember, I chose music?” He smiled, said I'd played a couple of notes he couldn't reproduce on his guitar and put the headphones back on. I still have no idea where it came from and apart from a couple of chords, I still couldn't play it again. Having bared my soul I will now retire to my room and die inside! We are still very very early. Sharpest insight this week was that people use social media apps for the community not the tech. Going 100% on nostr is perhaps a good move for bitcoin and nostr Devs and influencers. But is this community open and big enough to support the growers, artists and makers? We shall see.
