Chickens free ranging in olive groves lay great eggs, fertilise the soil, restore biodiversity and keep the cash flow. going when olives are on alternate fruiting
Is that green enough for land in arid Spain? Making land resilient with groundcover and focusing on perennials. Capture rain in times of flood in readiness for times of drought, ( soil is best reservoir, mulch is able to manage all degrees of rainfall) #homesteading #Spain image
During a mid life crisis in 2016, I tried to self learn a few chords on a crappy €50 strat copy. In 2017 I started recording stuff into my computer through a cheapo soundcard. This is an example. I still have no idea where it came from or how to play it. Then I bought a second hand copy of the guitar Angus Young plays/ed, scuffed it up a bit and recorded a track home alone. That felt better. I eventually plucked up the courage to play the recording to a time-served rock and blues man who had given me a couple of lessons. Half way through he turned it off and asked “Where the hell did this come from?” I answered, “The first lesson, you asked me if I wanted to learn music or tracks. Remember, I chose music?” He smiled, said I'd played a couple of notes he couldn't reproduce on his guitar and put the headphones back on. I still have no idea where it came from and apart from a couple of chords, I still couldn't play it again. Having bared my soul I will now retire to my room and die inside! See what you think! #music #12songsofChristmas

Super Saturday... my little un turned over a tomato bed to cabbages, while I grouted tiles, cleaned kitchen. Then taught her to play the Jose Feliciano song Feliz Navedad and took turns playing each other's favourite tracks. After cooking me a delicious lunch she's off with her friends now and its my time for a cuppa tea and a scroll through Nostr. Every day should be a Saturday like this. It used to be, years ago. Saturday and Sunday my average earning parents did plenty of fun things with us as a family. They had a car, we were fed and clothed, never had fancy stuff but never went without for the important things. Productive, educational, no need for mega money or fancy houses. Now what? Society sold on the idiocy of working 9-5 6-7 days a week for tarnished shiny things, too distracted to see what is missing, too endebted to change when they do. Bitcoin fixes this. Hard working people can get ahead, as prices drop and time regains its worth. Time to consider, think, plan clearly. 100k is a mega milestone. It's potential is being proved in numbers that everyone can understand. 100,000 big ones for something you can't touch but exists because there is proof of the energy expended to launch it into the system. The possible is more possible than ever with hard money at the foundation, especially living simple but rich with the ones you love.
Drinking tea feels so much more satisfying than booze. That's it, from an old drinker who doesn't miss a drop.
Does anyone else think that if nation states mine bitcoin that the slow starter regimes will just go hard after their own citizens' bitcoin? And there must be a lot of OGs who have more bitcoin than many nation states will be able to buy. If bitcoin is this building block of global finance, there must be all sorts of strategies being war gamed in state departments. The plebs have played the NGU game beautifully. Is it set up for others to hijack?
Back streets of #Barcelona. Not a bad backdrop. Don't ask me what the fairy tale building is, I'm the least curious tourist in town. My abiding memory is the trees, massive trees in the streets 5 and 6 stories high. #architecture meh image
This soil erosion has zilch to do with any natural phenomenon, climate or sun spots. A track cut into a hillside planted with non native pines and subsequently denuded by a road maintenance team that keeps itself in perpetual work stripping off topsoil, making sure the hillside is unstable. This is a microcosm of manmade #ecosystem destruction. Paid for by tax payers. What a scam world we live in. #nature image
Between the Trump financial reset thesis from @Marty Bent latest guest and a prediction from the 60''s that was explained to me today, 2025 is going to be one hell of a year. The biggest loser would be Europe, caught short by another event not at all obvious. IE With all eyes on a marauding China that stops at the borders of W Europe, there is a very sinister twist, cooked up between China and it's buddies in Iran and Africa. Another great storyline for an international best seller.
