The problem of violence is very hard to solve. The modern way has been centralizing authority, who can then monopolize the violence and abuse that authority. But the traditional way was to use decentralized justice, where revenge and tit-for-tat would eventually get people to game-theory optimal morals.
Like it or not, the traditional way is what we're doing here in both Bitcoin and Nostr.
The real sin of fiat money is that technology is used to debase everything to keep up with the monetary debasement rather than enriching our lives.
The most common reason normies go along with stupid things is because they're lazy.
