If developers and users have a values conflict, one or the other will change or be replaced. Long-term this is the equilibrium we will head towards.

Apologies. My client was super slow I think, and I pressed the post button multiple times and it all came through at once. I requested delete on most of them. Here's a picture of a baby monkey that I saw over the summer as penance. image

This whole talk today was a complete trainwreck, but I'm posting a few minutes of it to show how bad it was.

The difference between email spam/internet ads versus spam on Bitcoin is that the marginal cost of the former is zero and the latter is not. Thus, any friction added to deter the former is much less effective than friction added to deter the latter.

I wanted to express my gratitude to you all here on Nostr for watching and giving feedback on my vlogs. The practice here and the refinement I was able to put into my videos has helped me find my voice, even as it's still a work in progress. I would love to hear your honest suggestions on a couple of things: 1. How can I improve the vlog to make it more watchable and more informative? 2. What topics would you like me to cover?
